babybird at the Bush

Bush hall is a fab venue and shame on you if you didn't go - It's a beautiful 1930's (?) music hall style room, heigh ceilings and all that stuff, with a somewhat heath robinson stage. It felt a bit like a sixth form common room end of year gig, it was hot and sweaty, and there weren't enough people there, but it was great stuff.Lots of banter, which was nice and a surprise appearance from You're Gorgeous, which I really thought I'd never get to hear live again.A great encore, so much thought,…See More

Camden Crawl BabyBird Vs Amy Winehouse

The camden crawl is chaos, so many paces to get lost in and distracted - I spent all evening saying to my friends, 'we gotta be at the dublin castle early to see Babybird', but when we got there, the bouncer had decided that we were number 41, 42 and 43 when they were only allowing another 40 people in. Insantity. We begged, pleaded, and offered bribery. But they wouldn't let us in. We waited half an hour, and my friends got fed up and left. Then I saw Bruce the guitarist, he had a word and I…See More

"Yep, great value, great venue, great form (I even enjoy the mistakes!) Recorded (for my own enjoyment, never been a bootlegger) and it sounds great - many plays to come. The final Unloveable was a real blast! Look forward to Camden Crawl 2 May!"

The Scala-sha-la-la!

Despite- annoying press photographers, dodgy mic stands, spit covered mic's, useless roadies, who took an hour and a half to find some gaffer tape and a fan (of the wind variety) that buggered everything up - it was an Awesome gig. Great banter, and the wall of sound when all four guitarists get going is wonderfully powerful. Great performance from Stephen - he can really sing when he wants to! I do feel there should be a live album, everything is different live - and better. It was a pleasure…See More
